It is definitely summer. 90s today, and 90s expected for the next few days. Could be nice for Independence Day, though- high 70s. Wow!

Not necessarily for me, but it's Groundhog Day (both Chuck and Phil have called for early spring, and given the weather patterns I've seen, both rodents might actually be correct; also, trying to think the last time they both called for an early spring.) Took this week off for vacation. Traditionally, probably for the past 15-20 years, I always managed to get sick around this time. So far this year, I've managed to remain healthy *knocks on wood*. I had a pneumonia shot last year, got an early flu shot this year and started taking Zicam products in late October, just before Halloween. Here's hoping ( Read more... )

March came roaring in like a lion, with a big snow and frigid temperatures. This week was up and down. 60s on Monday, followed by storms again by Wednesday, with lows in the single digits. Yesterday it was 50s again. Today I think was 40s, colder but still pretty mild. Tomorrow will be 20s, but by the middle of next week it will be 50s ( Read more... )

Yes, I've finished two more books, and after having just posted yesterday. Before you look too shocked -- these were short. One was 105 pages, told in free verse, and the other was a picture book. I finished both in less than an hour ( Read more... )
